MASHHAD 48
MASHHAD 48
Mashad is a city in the east part of Iran. Many of the best carpets in Iran are made in Mashad giving an idea of how important Mashad is as a carpet-weaving center. Based on normally a cotton foundation, the wool pile used in Mashad rugs is amongst the best in Iran. The wool used is softer and the pile is tight and thin. The colors used are exclusively red and blue as the dominating colors with ivory or khaki used to provide interesting contrast. The background is typically deep, dark red with dark blue highlights. Some rugs are an all-over traditional pattern. The red background is a distinguishing characteristic of Mashad rugs.
Our handmade rug is made of wool and is from Mashhad. Beautiful rug with lovely bright colors such as cream, beige, light brown, green, red and orange which are combined in an intricate medallion & floral motif. The red field is more of a candy apple red not a brick or crimson red and it meshes nicely with the other colors.
Master piece, superb quality, high value and prestigious Brand, stunningly luxurious, durable and more environmentally friendly, hypo-allergenic & anti-bacterial.
Colors may vary slightly in person due to differences in monitor settings and lighting.
